The System

An ongoing body of work shaped by pressure, containment, and scale, where form and interference operate as conditions rather than narratives.

The System developed through an extended period of accumulation, where drawings were produced rapidly across analogue and digital processes without a fixed hierarchy.

Over time, a distinction emerged between images that described situations and those that held themselves as systems. Through repetition, reduction, and removal, a visual language began to form in which narrative, subject, and symbolic reading were progressively stripped away.

The works are not conceived as singular images, but as part of a wider field. No single element dominates. Forms intersect, interrupt, and displace one another, preventing resolution and holding each composition in a state of continuous negotiation.

Human presence, where it appears in earlier stages, is reduced or eliminated. Scale is no longer described through figure, but through structural relationships, interference, and spatial pressure. Geometry is present but not idealised; lines retain friction, and refinement is resisted where it introduces clarity or hierarchy.

Presented together, the works function as a physical field — a held space in which pressure, containment, and interference remain active. The System continues as a low-frequency practice, with new work emerging intermittently through re-entry into the conditions that define it.
