Silent Running is an ongoing visual practice built around pressure, containment, and scale.

The work establishes conditions rather than narratives, images shaped through structure and interference, where division and fragmentation define the form.

At the origin of the practice, instinctive drawings emerged through accumulation and repetition, open, unsettled forms that gradually shifted into more held structures. Origin continues as an evolving field of drawings tracing the development of this visual language, while Early System isolates selected framed works drawn from that wider field.

Developed through a hybrid process combining analogue mark-making, print processes, and digital composition, the practice moves fluidly between drawing and illustration.

Working across pencil, Sharpie, charcoal, gouache, screen printing, gel plate, and iPad, Silent Running brings together raw material exploration with refined visual control.

The practice spans:

  • illustration and print-based work

  • visual development for moving image and spatial projects

Signal operates as an evolving body of visual fragments, process, and development, while The Merge draws selected works into more held compositions and print-based forms.

Silent Running continues as an expanding body of illustrated work, with scope for print editions, exhibitions, spatial installation, and motion.
